Dr. Pirkle, Spent time with me, no sense that he was trying to rush me out. Asked questions and listened when I responded. It's a pleasure to walk into your office. No crazy, chaos going on like I have experience in other doc's waiting rooms.

Dr Pirkle does not shortchange the time with me, exploring symptoms and options until we are both satisfied. He has an incredibly encyclopedic knowledge of conditions, and explains things well.

Dr. Bernens is the best! He is extremely thorough which I greatly appreciate. I always feel comfortable when I see him because I know how much he cares about his patients. The staff at Cornerstone is amazing.

In serious pain after a bike riding accident, I was relieved that Dr. Pirkle was able to fit me into his busy schedule, diagnose the situation, and prescribe medications to reduce pain and get the recovery process started. This visit with my own doctor avoided an impersonal emergency room visit, which would probably have involved many uncomfortable hours waiting to be treated, and some possibly unnecessary and costly diagnostic procedures.

Dr. Pirkle's "bedside" manner can often be less than ideal. However, he is extraordinarily thorough and very competent, two traits even his medical school faculty apparently noticed (I recently ran into one of his med school teachers at a community meeting, which was rather ironic). It also helps to come to appointments with questions related to your problem(s). Follow-up is very good. His new office location is convenient, and his staff are considerate and organized. If you are interested in a doctor who will try his damnest to solve your problem rather than hold your hand, Dr. Pirkle is your guy. Personally, I'd rather have a doctor help me get well rather than listen to sweet nothings.

Dr. Pirkle is always a delight to see. He is very thorough and shows his concern for the well being of all his patients. His staff is friendly and efficient. I feel privileged to be one of his patients.

Dr Ross Pirkle is one of the leading primary care doctors in the Bay Area.

I have been seeing Dr. Pirkle as my primary care doctor coming on 10 years now. I cannot even being to describe how amazing, supportive, caring and knowledgeable of a doctor he is. Several years ago when I was in college I was a “medical mystery”, I was at his office at least 2-3 times a month, along with countless visits to other doctors. Throughout the entire process, he was my advocate and supporter. He ensured I was going to the best specialists we could find, kept track of all my tests (and there were 20+ over a 6 month period of time), and even reached out to peers to see if they had experienced medical situations similar to mine. He goes above and beyond for his patients, and always takes the time to understand you (and to make sure you understand him). I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new primary care provider!
